MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Contractor Membership:  see chart below

To be classified as a contractor member, your company must undertake contracts to perform civil construction services.

Examples of these jobs include but are not limited to the construction, maintenance, and demolition of roads, bridges, waterworks, sewer, ports, and airports.  Dues are determined by the volume of public or private work performed in the previous year.  See chart below.

Associate Membership:  $1,500

To be classified as an associate member, your company must provide goods and/or services to construction companies.  Examples of an associate member include but are not limited to manufacturers, suppliers, distributers, equipment rentals and sales, insurance and bonds, and law firms. 

Small Business Membership: 

To be classified as a small business member, you are required to be brought in through the HCA Small Business Program and approved by the Small Business Committee.  This membership applies to both contractors and associates.

Committees

HCA has committees that offer members an additional opportunity to get involved with HCA.  The committee chairmen consider all applicants and make selections based on current available seats on the committees.  Committees are free to join.  Click Here to learn more about the different committees. 

Annual Management Conference

HCA sponsors an annual conference for members to meet and discuss the latest advances in the civil construction industry. A guest speaker is always invited to address the group on the pertinent issues of the day. HCA is proud to host high profile speakers from elected officials to CEOs of influential companies. 

Monthly Luncheons

Monthly luncheons are held by HCA to encourage members to become acquainted with new members, discuss the latest developments in the construction industry, and enjoy our guest speakers. Featured guests have included a variety of speakers including Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Director of Public Works for the City of Houston Carol Haddock , Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar, and Metro CEO Stephanie Wiggins.

Networking Mixers

Months - TBD - HCA hosts networking mixers as a casual happy hour event.  

Golf Tournaments

HCA hosts two annual golf tournaments for the enjoyment of its members. Proceeds from these events benefit HCA's government relations program.

Clay Shoot

HCA hosts an annual Sporting Clay Shoot every spring. This event is designed as a membership drive where current HCA members are encouraged to bring potential new members out and introduce them to the benefits of being a member of HCA.
