COVID-19 Harris County Mask Order

Harris County Mask Order

Effective as of Monday, June 22, 2020 all commercial businesses in Harris County are required to make their patrons 10 and older wear some form of mask or face covering when on their premises.  This is the most recent order from Judge Hildago and is supported by Mayor Turner and Governor Greg Abbott.  There are a few exceptions to this order:

  • When exercising outside or engaging in physical activity outside;
  • While driving alone or with passengers who are part of the same household as the driver;
  • When doing so poses a greater mental or physical health, safety, or security risk;
  • While pumping gas or operating outdoor equipment;
  • While in a building or activity that requires security surveillance or screening, for example, banks; or
  • When consuming food or drink.

With regards to the upcoming HCA luncheon, attendees will be required to wear a mask to enter the building.  Masks can be removed when you are seated for lunch or if you have a beverage in your hand during the reception.  As always social distancing is encouraged at our events.

Should you have any questions regarding the State protocols, please feel free to contact the HCA offices for more information.
