HCA Membership

Tuesday, April 7, 2020

Local governmental entities make more changes and place more requirements on the construction industry than either the State or Federal bureaucracies.  This is because locally construction is a bigger part of their annual budget.  HCA invests the time to build relationships with the elected officials, work with them on construction related policy issues and provide free plan review services for their public works departments.

A major benefit of our membership is the HCA Affinity Medical Program.  We are proudly offering this to our members and their families.  This plan will save our members up to 15% or more from what they are currently payingBest of all, they don't have to wait for the traditional 'open enrollment' period to sign up.

The greatest benefit that membership in HCA provides is the opportunity to meet other professionals in the construction industry.  All HCA events provide an excellent forum for this where members of our industry gather to discuss the issues of the day.  It is here that the subcontractor will meet a prime, a prime will meet new vendors and suppliers can make new contacts.   This is where your future business is made.

HCA offers a wide array of social events for our members to enjoy.  HCA holds monthly luncheons with high profile guest speakers and host on average over 200 attendees.  From May to October, HCA’s networking mixers are a crowd favorite.  We also have the ever-popular clay shoot tournament, a spring and fall golf tournament, management conference – this year is Costa Rica – and the annual Christmas Party.  All of our social events are designed to entertain our members as well as allow for social networking.

HCA strives to provide its membership with the educational and training opportunities to keep our members up to date on the latest industry innovations, research, and trends.  Through our Education and Safety Committees, HCA hosts seminars on the latest changes to such areas as insurance, bonding, SWPPP, safety issues, changes in construction contracts, and much more.

As the only civil construction association in Texas, HCA is a unique group.  Since 1956, we have been the home to Houston’s civil construction industry.  We are proud of our members and the work that they perform.  HCA holds certain standards for our member companies.  Being apart of this association shows that your company holds a code of best practices and is a good reflection on your company.
