Contractual liability is a very important concept in the world of risk management and construction insurance for both General Contractors and Subcontractors. This presentation is intended to clarify the concept of contractual liability and the common misconceptions found in the commercial general liability (CGL) insurance policy along with the ramifications of sub-contractors not in compliance with their contractual insurance requirements.

Charles Comiskey, Senior Vice President

Charles Comiskey is Senior Vice President of Brady Chapman Holland & Associates, one of the largest privately held insurance brokerage firms in the U.S. and President of RiskTech, Inc., Houston’s oldest risk management consulting firm. Holding numerous professional designations, Comiskey is a nationally recognized expert on risk management and insurance issues and has served as an expert witness in over 300 matters in State and Federal courts. He is National Chairman of the Construction Practice Group of RiskProNet International and was a contributor to the 2017 AIA Insurance Exhibit.

Seth Michaelson, Managing Director

Seth has been in the commercial insurance and risk management business for over 10 years and focuses on Property & Casualty exposures associated with Construction, Real Estate and Non-Profit organizations. He is an Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and recently left the public sector to lead the Houston office for Catto & Catto LLP, a private, 86 year old firm based in Texas.
