Brief Bio of Augustus Campbell, President & CEO of West Houston Association:

Mr. Campbell is the President & CEO of the West Houston Association and advocates for better infrastructure, planning, and policy in a 1,000 square mile area that covers western Harris County and the eastern parts of Ft. Bend and Waller Counties with a population of over 1,750,000.  The West Houston Association’s efforts include water resources, flood control, park, recreation, sustainable infrastructure, development planning, education, and workforce development.  Mr. Campbell currently serves as the Chair of Harris Plus Flood Solutions, a 501(c)(4), on the Houston Galveston Area Council’s Technical Advisory Committee, and on the Memorial Management District Board of Directors.  Prior to joining the West Houston Association, Mr. Campbell served for seven years as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Houston and in the Army Reserves, including a year in Iraq working on Civil Affairs.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Urban Land Institute, and the Texas Water Conservation Association.
