Mike Miller

Vice President, Houston

Ashlar Development

Mike Miller is Vice President for Ashlar Development, which is primarily responsible for all residential performance at The Groves. In this role, Miller manages all strategic planning, development activities, acquisitions, homebuilder relations, pricing structure, product development and competitive strategies associated with the Houston market and region portfolio.
Prior to his work with Ashlar, Miller worked as a senior manager in land acquisition and development for various homebuilders including CalAtlantic Homes, K Hovnanian Homes and Taylor Morrison in Houston for more than five years. Mike has extensive experience and expertise in overseeing the development activity of company-owned property to achieve business plans and financial objectives.
Miller also worked for Sam Yager Incorporated, responsible for residential development management and acquisition. Over his tenure, Miller has developed more than 3,500 lots within more than 25 communities in the Houston area.
Mike serves as a Community Development Product Council Member with the Urban Land Institute, a Council Member for the Texas A&M Development Advisory Council, Vice President of Montgomery County MUD 151, member of Greater Houston Builder Association, Aggie Real Estate Network, North Houston Association, Lake Houston Chamber of Commerce and Houston’s First Baptist – Cypress. Mike gives back through programs such as Operation Finally Home- giving veterans mortgage free homes, Hurricane Harvey Relief fundraising, and Dashing Through The Groves benefitting the Insperity Adaptive Sports Complex and the YMCA. Mike graduated from The University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning. He received his Master of Science in Land and Property Development at Texas A&M University in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning.



Jeff Dewese

Vice President, Land Division

The Signorelli Company

Jeff comes with over 18 years of experience in real estate.  He is currently involved in every aspect of the company’s land development operation from acquisition, land planning, construction management, and landscape architecture, to reimbursement entity and HOA management and development. 

Prior to joining the Signorelli Company in 2017, Jeff worked for various reputable local and national builders where he gained experience on construction, purchasing, sales, and land project management. 

Jeff’s extensive experience has allowed him to collaborate with numerous Houston area municipalities, local governments and school districts. 

Jeff is a graduate of Texas A&M University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. His community involvement includes serving as a member of The Association of Former Students Texas A&M, leading and volunteering for the Cub Scouts, volunteering with the Angel Reach program and completing Leadership Montgomery County where he currently an active alumnus.

Scott Davis


Location Strategy, LLC

Prior to starting his own company, Scott was a Senior Vice President for Meyers Research, and responsible for the company’s single-family advisory work in Texas where he performed more than 40 market studies for development projects. Prior to joining Meyers, Scott was the Houston Region Director for Metro study. Now, he is President of Location Strategies, a firm dedicated to real estate strategy and consulting. In his 20 year real estate career, he has sold more than 2,900 acres for single family and retail development, been recognized as a top producer in the Houston and Eastern US Regions at CBRE, received the “Land Deal of the Year” award from the Houston Business Journal, and was nominated as Global Business Director of the Year by NAI Global for his leadership in commercial real estate. He has also written two books about the role of the Millennial generation in changing the workplace and faith communities. Scott is a graduate of the University of Texas, where he received a BA in liberal arts/geography and an MS in community and regional planning, and is a licensed Texas real estate broker. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Greater Houston Builders Association.
