Member Services

The companies that make up the Houston Contractors Association have built the roads, bridges, water and sewer lines, storm sewers, detention ponds and other structures too numerous to mention in this region. Our associate members provide the raw materials, bonding, accounting and insurance services to allow the contracting companies to complete these jobs. Our impact on the area is undeniable and substantial. The quality of our product is a direct reflection of the pride in construction that every member feels when they look over the City and say “I built that.” For over 60 years HCA has been proud to represent the acme of local construction companies in this area, and as long as Houston builds infrastructure, we will be here to represent the companies that do the work.

Management Conferences

HCA sponsors an annual conference for members to meet and discuss the latest advances in the civil construction industry. A guest speaker is always invited to address the group on the pertinent issues of the day. Past speakers have included Mayor Annise Parker, State Representative Dennis Bonnen, State Representative John Lindsay, the President and CEO for the Greater Houston Partnership, Mr. Jim Kollaer and Mr. Michael Stevens, Chair of the Transportation Task Force for the Governor’s Business Council.

Monthly Luncheons

Monthly luncheons are held by HCA to encourage members to become acquainted with new members, discuss the latest developments in the construction industry, and enjoy our guest speakers. Featured guests have included a variety of speakers including Houston Mayor Bill White, Director of Public Works for the City of Houston Michael Marcotte, Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, Metro CEO Frank Wilson and State Senator Dan Patrick to name a few.

Golf Tournaments

HCA hosts two annual golf tournaments for the enjoyment of its members. Proceeds from these events benefit HCA's government relations program.

Clay ShootHCA Clay Shoot

HCA hosts an annual Sporting Clay Shoot every spring. This event is designed as a membership drive where current HCA members are encouraged to bring potential new members out and introduce them to the benefits of being a member of HCA.
